An original, completely handmade linocut bookmark which has been designed and printed in Devon, UK. Available in black ink, green, or red
The 'Fern Fever' bookmarks were inspired by Pteridomania, the 19th century craze for ferns, which were a favourite plant to discover and study due to their beautiful and diverse specimens, and for growing so abundantly in the cooler, wetter weather of the United Kingdom.
Each bookmark has been hand-printed onto heavyweight printmakers' paper, which has then been hand cut. The reverse also includes my 'chop mark' or traditional signature stamp.
DIMENSIONS:
Total size: 7" x 2.5" approx.
Important: I cannot guarantee that your printed item will be the exact one shown in the example photographs in the shop. As everything is handmade, there will inevitably be some slight variations with each printing; likewise coloured prints with hand-mixed inks may vary slightly in pigment between batches. This is all part of the charm and uniqueness of your purchase, as no two items will be exactly the same! If the paper has been cut or torn by hand, please also expect very minor differences in size.
